Registration for Student Clubs Now Open!

Message to Parents & Guardians

Dear SD IMS Families,

We are thrilled to announce that applications for our Student Clubs are now open! As discussed during our parent orientation program, we will be launching various student clubs this academic year to further enrich the educational experience of our students.

Student clubs are co-curricular activities that offer students opportunities to explore their interests, reinforce the development of 21st century skills, make meaningful friendships, and have fun outside the classroom. They are considered as an extension of formal learning, with the goal of tapping into and enhancing the multiple intelligences of students.

Below are some of the exciting activities that your child can look forward to when they become part of a club.

Club Officers:

Members will have the chance to elect club officers, allowing them to take on leadership positions within the club. These officers will be responsible for helping club moderators in organizing projects and activities.

Special Project/s:

Club members will have the chance to initiate and execute special projects that will not only reflect the passion and expertise they've developed within the club but will also serve as a platform for them to make a meaningful impact within our school community.

Mini Field Trip:

To enrich their understanding of their club's focus, members may conduct a mini field trip to a site related to their club's activities. This hands-on experience will deepen their knowledge and provide real-world context for what they've learned.

Guest Speaker:

The club may invite guest speakers and subject matter experts to share their insights and experiences with club members. These interactions broaden horizons, inspire curiosity, and provide valuable industry perspectives.

Community Involvement:

One of the primary objectives of our student clubs is to cultivate socially responsible citizens. Our club members will actively participate in community service initiatives, applying their club's focus to make a positive difference.

Celebration of Achievements:

To celebrate their accomplishments and hard work throughout the year, we will host a culminating activity. It's a time for students, parents, and school staff to come together and celebrate the dedication and enthusiasm of our club members.
