Student clubs are co-curricular activities that offer students opportunities to explore their interests, reinforce the development of 21st century skills, make meaningful friendships, and have fun outside the classroom. They are considered as an extension of formal learning, with the goal of tapping into and enhancing the multiple intelligences of students. Participating in a student club is entirely voluntary and non-graded student engagements.

Joining the club may be done online (www.studentdeskims.org/CHAMP)(http://www.studentdeskims.org/CHAMP) or onsite (triage area).

Students may join two (2) clubs at most as long as they can manage their time effectively and meet club attendance requirements. While students are welcome to join two clubs, preference will be granted to students who have not yet enrolled in any clubs, ensuring as many students as possible have the chance to participate in a club.

Club activities can range from fun games, discussions, hands-on projects, and more, depending on the club's focus. The specifics will be shared by club moderators during Club Orientation.

The club membership fee is intended to cover the costs of club t-shirts, club kit, use of facility, moderator’s fee, and other expenses needed for the successful operation of the club. Additional fees may be collected for special projects, mini field trips, guest speaker fee, and other similar fees. Additional fees will be communicated to club members ahead of time.

The time commitment varies by club. Most clubs convene after regular classes from 2 PM to 3 PM, with the exception of the Nature Club, which meets on Saturdays from 7 AM to 9 AM. Club meetings will be held once or twice a month until the ten (10) sessions are completed. Each club will release a calendar of activities on or before the first club meeting. Field trips and special events may also be part of the club schedule. Club moderators will provide specific details regarding schedule during the Club Orientation.

Yes, the schedule of club meetings and events may be subject to change due to various factors including class suspensions, special holidays, etc. Club moderators will communicate any changes as soon as possible.

Yes, we offer clubs for various grade levels, ensuring that all students have the opportunity to participate in a club that aligns with their interests.

Club moderators will communicate regularly with both students and parents through emails, meetings, or announcements on the school website. It's important to stay informed about club schedules and updates.

If your child wishes to change clubs or leave a club, they should discuss their decision with the club moderator and follow any established procedures for doing so. If a member opts to withdraw from or discontinue their club participation after the initial session has taken place, please note that the membership fee is non-refundable.

If your child is unable to attend a club meeting or activity, please notify the club moderator in advance if possible. They can provide guidance on how to catch up on missed content or activities.

Parents can support their child's club involvement by attending club activities or events that require their participation. Volunteering as chaperones for mini field trips, sharing their expertise if relevant, and helping with club activities when needed.
