MESSAGE FROM THE EXECUTIVE HEAD

Dear Partners in Education,

It is with joy that I welcome you to Studentdesk Integrated Montessori School’s website. Through this platform, you will learn about our school’s history, philosophy, curriculum, culture, and practices that shape our progressive and holistic approach to education.

At SDIMS, we recognize children as curious and active learners with unlimited potential. We believe that they are a gift from God and that it is our prime duty as educators to help them attain their purpose in life.

Over the years, one of the fundamental lessons we learned about working with children is to be a good listener. We put emphasis on the pedagogy of listening which entails that we must pay very close attention to children’s opinions and ideas. Our teachers and staff are trained to keenly listen to our students’ thoughts, questions, theories, and hypotheses. This does not only allow our students to be creative thinkers, it also develops their initiative which in turn develops also their self-concept. We believe that when we allow children to express their minds, they can transform the classroom into a more enjoyable environment.

If you happen to visit our school, I hope that you would feel how much we embrace and celebrate the dynamic role of establishing and sustaining a culture of cooperation in and out of our classrooms. We believe that holistic education is impossible without putting a premium on the value of harmonious relationship within and amongst our students, teachers, staffs, and parents.

Parents play a pivotal advisory role in the administration of our school and they actively participate in school activities, special events, and celebrations. We also take efforts in equipping them through our parent education program which aims to improve parents’ knowledge about parenting-related concerns and strengthen their ability to manage specific challenges they encounter.

We would be delighted to welcome you to SDIMS and tour you around our school. Please feel free to get in touch  with our Admissions Office for any inquiries that you may have.
