23 February 2023
Dear Parents, Families, and Guardians,
First of all, I wanted to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude for your support and collaboration in our school reopening this academic year. Thanks to your cooperation and patience, our “Bounce Back Better for the Children Campaign” was a tremendous success and we were able to provide a safe and comfortable environment for your children to learn and grow. Your commitment to ensuring your children's education, and seeing the eagerness on the faces of our students as they returned to school have truly been inspiring.
Secondly, as we are already halfway through the academic year, I would like to share some updates on our plans for the remaining quarters and the upcoming school year 2023 to 2024. Please read the following carefully and be guided accordingly:
Have Your Child Joined the CHAMP Squad?
We have launched various after-school programs this month and we are grateful for your overwhelming support. These programs offer opportunities for students to explore new interests and develop new skills in areas such as art, music, sports, coding, and more.
We currently have ongoing classes for ComKaido, Ballet Dance, Coding, and Basic Mandarin. If you haven’t enrolled your child yet in any of these classes, you may still do so via this link:
We have upcoming new classes such as:
Ready Steady Go Kids is Australia’s leading preschool sport and exercise program designed to build confidence and self-esteem, providing a platform of knowledge and boosting school readiness skills. All trainers have a Level 1 Coaching qualification from Australia.
Music Lessons on specific musical instruments (e.g., piano, guitar, ukulele, etc.) led by experienced instructors who are proficient in playing the instrument. The program uses unique and highly personalized methods of learning, creating an environment to nurture, educate and encourage creative individuals to achieve the highest level of success.
The Weekend Wonderers is a movement for cultivating children’s sense of wonder, creativity, and love for nature. Under this program, there will be interactive workshops, cooperative games, nature walks, and other outdoor activities for children and families. Topics to be covered include plant-based nutrition, food waste composting, urban farming, holistic wellness, etc.
We will be adding new classes as we go along to accommodate the varying needs and interests of our students.
In-person Year-End Ceremony
We are pleased to announce that we will be holding an in-person year-end ceremony to celebrate the achievements of our students within the week of June 13 to 16, 2023. Details on the exact date, time, and venue will be announced in a separate communication letter.
Possibility of an Educational Field Trip
As many of you have been asking if we are going to have an educational field trip this year, we are looking at the possibility of organizing one. We are currently reviewing proposals for possible destinations and activities that align with our educational goals and values. In the meantime, please help us with our planning by answering the short survey that we will send to your child’s email. Your responses will be crucial in our plan whether to push through with this activity or not.
Building a Sustainable School Garden
As a member of the Global School Program, one of the initiatives we are most excited about is building our own sustainable school garden. This garden will serve as an excellent learning resource for our students to deepen their understanding on environmental stewardship, nutrition, and food systems while also providing fresh and healthy food for the members of our school community, especially our security officers and staff who will serve as the main caretakers of the garden.
Two of the key features of our sustainable school garden are:
Curriculum Integration: The garden will be integrated into the school's curriculum to provide hands-on learning opportunities in science, math, and other subjects. The garden is also a great tool to connect students to nature, as well as build social skills, collaboration, and community engagement.
Community involvement: The garden will involve parents, teachers, and community members in its planning, design, building, funding, and maintenance.
WE WANT YOU TO BE A PART OF THIS PROJECT!
We are currently gathering resources (seeds, tools, materials, funds, and volunteers) to help us build the garden. Supporters / donors will have the chance to benefit from the yield of the garden. If you are interested to partake in this initiative, please connect to any of our admin staff and they would gladly assist you. We thank you in advance for your support.
Full Face-to-Face Classes
After careful consideration and monitoring of the current COVID-19 situation, and based on our experience these past months as well as your feedback, we will be resuming the 5-day face-to-face classes starting the upcoming academic year 2023 - 2024. We encourage you to enroll your child in a full face-to-face program as the Department of Education may no longer allow the Pure Online and Hybrid Learning Programs next school year.
Enrollment for SY 2023 - 2024 is Ongoing
Our enrollment is ongoing for the S.Y. 2023 to 2024. Admission of students for all levels will be on a first-come, first-served basis and will depend on the availability of slots. The Enrollment process and all other transactions may be done in-person or online.
Secure a Slot for Your Child
As we have been receiving numerous applications for New Students, we would like to make sure that your child/ren will be given priority in our limited slots per class.
To secure a slot for your child, please pay the reservation fee of P5,000 (five thousand pesos only) on or before February 28, 2023. Reservation fee is deductible from the tuition fee but non refundable.
Choose 'Reservation Fee for SY 2023 - 2024' on Purpose of Payment.
Validity of Reserved Slot/s
Please take note that reservation of slots is a privilege given only to our CURRENT students and are valid only within the Regular Enrolment Period. If a student is not officially enrolled by April 30, 2023, NEW students may vie for the unenrolled student’s slot starting June 1. The awarding of slots during the Late Enrolment Period will be on a first-enrolled, first-served basis. Please enroll by April 30, 2023 so we can secure your child’s slot in the upcoming school year.
Lastly, I want to reassure you that we will continue to take all necessary precautions to ensure the health and safety of our students, staff, and families. I am confident that with your solid support and strong partnership, our school community will continue to thrive in the months or years ahead.
Once again, thank you for your unwavering support and dedication to your child's education. I am grateful for the opportunity to work with you and your family, and I look forward to a successful academic year ahead.
Sincerely,
EMERSON O. FABABAER
Executive Head
