[ Action Required ] Family Survey In Preparation for Upcoming School Year 2024-2025

13 December 2023

Dear Parents and Guardians,

I hope this letter finds you well. As we prepare for the upcoming school year 2024-2025, we would like to gather input from you regarding learning modalities, class schedules, and re-enrollment. We highly value your involvement in our decision-making processes, as your input plays a crucial role in shaping our initiatives. Kindly spare a moment to share your thoughts by participating in our brief survey.

We would also like to provide you with some context regarding some of the factors we consider when determining the class schedule. Our scheduling decisions result from a comprehensive evaluation process that takes into account various factors to ensure it is equitable for all members of our school community. Below are those factors:

Varying Work Schedules of Parents:

We understand that parents have varying work schedules, and we aim to strike a balance that accommodates different family needs. While it may not be possible to meet every individual preference, we aim to provide a schedule that is accessible to a broad range of families.

Mitigating Scheduling Conflicts for Classes and Teachers:

The schedule must take into account the diverse responsibilities of teachers who handle multiple subjects across various grade levels. This is to prevent conflicts between classes and teacher assignments, ensuring a well-coordinated teaching schedule and smooth transitions for students.

Class Preparation for Teachers:

Teachers invest considerable time in preparing for their classes to deliver high-quality education. The schedule takes into account the need for teachers to have adequate time for class preparation after their sessions, ensuring that your child receives well-thought-out and engaging lessons. This also allows for teachers to collaborate effectively, share insights, and align curriculum strategies for the benefit of all students.

Extracurricular Activities and Support Services:

The schedule should be designed to accommodate extracurricular activities, clubs, and ensure access to essential resources, including mentoring, tutoring, and other supportive services.

Pedestrian and Vehicle Safety:

Ensuring the safety of students, parents, and staff during drop-off and pick-up times is our top priority. Class schedules are designed to facilitate a smooth and organized flow of both pedestrian and vehicular traffic, minimizing congestion and potential safety hazards.

Crowd Management & Efficient Use of Facilities:

Effective crowd management contributes to the efficient use of school facilities. By staggering arrival and departure times, we aim to optimize the utilization of space, providing a more comfortable and secure environment for everyone.

Travel Time & Safety Concerns:

Recognizing the diverse locations of our teaching and non-teaching personnel, we strive to balance the needs of those who live farther from the school or those residing outside of Pasig City. The schedule should minimize any safety concerns related to late travel, especially for those who may need to commute during hours when it gets dark.

Traffic Considerations:

Traffic conditions can significantly impact the daily commute for both students and personnel. The schedule must aim to mitigate potential traffic-related challenges, contributing to a smoother and more reliable daily routine for all.

We genuinely appreciate your understanding of the complexities involved in crafting a schedule that benefits the entire school community. Please click this link [ Family Survey Form ] to access the survey. We will accept responses until 17 December 2023.

Thank you for your continued support and collaboration in creating an educational environment that prioritizes the success and well-being of all our students and personnel.

Sincerely,

EMERSON O. FABABAER

Executive Head
