Global Goals: From Commitment to Action
In a remarkable showcase of commitment and global awareness, our school recently organized a series of activities centered around the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The initiative kicked off with students selecting their preferred SDG and leaving their handprints on katcha cloth, accompanied by heartfelt advocacy statements. This hands-on activity was a testament to their dedication to making the world a better place.
The UN Celebration opening ceremony, marked by a festive mini-parade featuring uniquely designed SDG banners from each class, brought the entire school community together. It was a powerful display of unity and collective dedication to these global goals.
To further educate and engage students, select upper elementary students took the stage with insightful SDG awareness presentations every Monday. These presentations ensured that the entire school community was well-informed about the importance of the SDGs.
This initiative has fostered creativity, unity, and knowledge among our young learners, equipping them with the passion and tools to become dedicated advocates for a more sustainable and equitable world. It's a testament to the power of education in shaping the leaders of tomorrow who are committed to making a positive impact on the world.
